I’m not trying to tell you to go spend thousands of dollars on supplies and build a micro brewery in your basement. It’s just that I went out and bought the cheapest home brewing supplies and some really expensive ones. I have made 5 gallons of beer using a $12 aluminum brewing kettle and then 2 weeks later went out and spent $40 on a stainless steel brewing kettle (those prices are from 20 years ago). I can explain to you why I decided to invest the extra money in a wort chiller even though its not a necessity. So, it might be a good idea for you to take a look at my reviews on certain items and decide for your self whether or not you should buy the most expensive or the cheapest home brewing supplies you can find.
